The kARThala Arts Center, set up by Ali Mroivili (Rijksakademie 95/96) wants to offer Comorian artists the opportunity to develop new ideas in their artistic expression. kARThala wants to introduce art education at Comorian public schools by giving art training to local artists in collaboration with the local authorities and teachers. kARThala wants to support interaction between Comorian artists and those of the islands in the Indian Ocean as well as support the interaction between African artists and the rest of the world.
